Archive for the ‘Argentina’

Each year, for the past 30 years, the Goldberg family has taken a portrait of themselves. The result is Arrow of Time, a wonderfully fascinating portrait of aging and family. A definite must-see!

And, recently, Nicolas has started his own series with his wife and baby!

America en Citro

One of the most interesting parts of my trip in Argentina was meeting this young Argentinian couple who were taking a year and driving from Patagonia to Alaska in a Citroen. They were just so damn cool and chill. When we met them in Mendoza, they had been on the road for 3 months already, so they’re taking their time and really getting to know people and places. They fund their trip by working at various places in exchange for a place to stay and selling handmade jewelery. Perhaps the best part is that they blog about the whole experience here. It’s in spanish with lots of beautiful pictures and you can live vicariously through them as they make their way through South, Central, and North America.

Argentina

Hello world, I’m back from a long and wonderful trip in Argentina. Above are two of my favorite pictures, and you can see the rest here. I haven’t had much time to reflect on the trip as a whole, so expect a bevy of Argentine posts to come.

Mass Dog Walking!

This is obviously one of my favorite parts of Buenos Aires. Another phenomenon that intrigues me is the BA Botanical Garden. There are tons and tons of stray cats just lolling around and apparently it´s the go-to place to abandon your cat when you need to. This is sad and I don´t like that people abandon their pets, (also I feel like cats get abandoned way more often than dogs) but a beautiful walled sunny garden full of other cats is possibly the best place you can leave a cat.
