I’m Interviewed on The Lamp!

I’m interviewed on The LAMP, a really cool “non-profit organization creating a grassroots movement to reform and improve media.” I re-designed their site last summer.

we are not athletes

My two good friends Jeff and Dan are running in the NYC Marathon on Nov 2nd. In place of those fugly generic “custom” donation pages that charities give to each person fundraising for them, Dan and Jeff decided to make their own site: www.wearenotathletes.com, with video, photos, blogs, and a healthy dose of competition. Check it out and donate to either of their causes if you can!
Here’s a fuller explanation in their own words:
We decided to create our own website, wearenotathletes.com to help our friends and family get more involved in our training, our fundraising and the race. Please go check out the site, place some bets on who you think will win, join a team or post a comment on our first crack at film making.
We are running all 26.2 miles to help raise money for these two causes that are both personally important to each of us. We created the site with the hope of raising way more money than either of us expected. So please help us achieve our goal by donating to one or both of these amazing causes at www.wearenotathletes.com

Project in the works

Lately I’ve been totally swamped with work which is a mixed blessing. Mostly wonderful except I really do fear that my computer will explode from overuse. My project du jour is redesigning Mary McBride, a renowned folk singer’s, website. Here is the placeholder site while I whip up the real one.

Nerd Alert

I recently came across Type Camp, which are typographic seminars/retreats in places like London and India. Not only would that be a very interesting experience and something I would like to do, but it reminded me of my HTML camp idea. If the best way to learn a language is by immersion, why not start something like HTML Camp where you could only speak/interact in code?
